As an admired fan of Tomoko Fuse and her designs on origami boxes, I have been folding her boxes with selected fabrics for many years.
The boxes are hand folded and put together in unit origami methods with subtle or no gluing necessary. They come in many different shapes including triangles, pentagons, hexagons, and octagons. Many boxes have origami designs both inside and out. Almost all boxes come in two pieces, base and lid.
Fabrics are 100% cotton and pre-treated with a fabric stiffener that enables the fabric to retain folds and creases and hold its shape. Fabrics are then ironed and cut into square sheets ready for folding.
