Since 1984, Needham Art Association (NAA) has awarded an art scholarship to a talented Needham high school senior who intends to pursue art/art courses in college.
Eligibility
-
- 12th grade students who attend Needham High School OR who live in Needham but attend another school.
- Artwork that is 2-D or 3-D such as printmaking, drawing, photography, painting, digital media, sculpture, and ceramics.
- Students who are going to college, university or art school in the fall.
Application Process
Application information for the Scholarship Award will be posted in the spring of 2027.
2026 Scholarship Recipient
Anna Ng, a Needham High School senior, has been selected as the 2026 recipient of Needham Art Association’s Scholarship Award of $1,500.
Anna’s artwork is inspired by the visual language of children’s books, drawing on their ability to tell meaningful stories through simple shapes, playful compositions, and vibrant color. Working primarily in gouache, she combines illustration, design, and narrative to build imaginative worlds that invite curiosity and exploration. Anna plans to study architecture and illustration in college, where she hopes to continue developing the creativity and visual storytelling that define her work.
