“I like to create works that have a sense of time and place. Having people in my paintings helps do this – on occasion I’ve added people to a painting who weren’t in the original scene.”

Alex Cullen has a degree in Fine Art from the University of New Hampshire. In his earlier years – before marriage, kids, and career, he lived in New York and took advantage of the art scene there to create pastels and watercolors. Upon retirement, he returned to art. He uses pastel and watercolor for quick works, and acrylic for more developed ones.
