Watercolors are my go-to painting medium. I am captivated by the color effects achieved by layering washes and brushstrokes. I paint both urban and nature scenes, but occasionally delve in abstraction. I am a retired visual arts educator (K-12) and now conduct watercolor workshops for adults. In addition, I also create glass enamel work and oversee the enamel studio at Artisans Asylum, Boston’s, MA where I maintain a dedicated studio space. I have a BS degree in art from Skidmore College and an MFA from Boston University. I show my work at many venues and am a member of the Newton Art Association, the New England Watercolor Society, the Newton Watercolor Society, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the International Enamelist Society.
