Critique Night with Janet Schwartz

For our annual member critique, NAA welcomes artist and teacher Janet Schwartz. Members are encouraged to share a piece of their artwork for an educational and engaging critique session, but we ask that those who would like to participate submit a photograph of their work ahead of time so that Janet can provide more in-depth feedback. To participate in the critique, please email a JPEG of your artwork to Alex Cullen by Wednesday, January 29.

Although trained as an art teacher, Janet put off her artistic interests to pursue a corporate career until 2021, when she traded it in for a full life of painting and teaching. Her work has recently focused on connections between figures at the beach, while she is also drawn to a diverse range of subjects: the variation of light in nature and architecture, the unexpected beauty of urban landscapes and traffic scenes, and more. Janet is a Master Circle Member of the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS), a Copley Artist with the Copley Society of Art, a juried member of the Rockport Art Association and the Northshore Art Association; a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA) and Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC).

This event is free and open to the public, although only current NAA members may submit work to be critiqued.
