Spring Members Judged Exhibit

Awards Reception and Program:  Sunday, April 14, 3pm – 4:45pm

Location:  Wellesley Free Library, Wakelin Room, 530 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:  Wednesday, March 20

Art Drop-off:  Monday, April 1, 9:30am – 10:30am
Art Pick-up:  Tuesday, April 30, 9:30am – 10:30am

Our Spring Members Judged Exhibit will take place at the Wellesley Free Library, which will be judged by artist Penny Billings. Current NAA members are invited to submit one piece of art which will be exhibited in the library’s Wakelin Room and on the Needham Art Association website.

NAA Spring Judged Exhibit Rules

    • All paintings must be properly wired for hanging. Paintings cannot exceed 40″ in either direction and must meet NAA’s exhibit rules and hanging requirements.
    • Work may be for sale or listed as not for sale (NFS). A 20% commission will be taken on art sales – 10% to NAA and 10% to the library.
    • Submitted work will be displayed on the Needham Art Association website and may also be featured on NAA’s Instagram and Facebook posts.

About the Judge

Penny Billings works in a unique style of contemporary realism. Painting from her imagination, memories or plein air field sketches, Penny’s award-winning tonalist oil paintings capture the constantly shifting light and mood of today’s varied American landscape.

In New York, Penny has been honored as both a signature member of the American Artists Professional League and as a juried artist member of the storied Salmagundi Club. At the Copley Society of Art in Boston she has achieved the highest distinction bestowed on an artist of Copley Master, Penny is also an associate with distinction artist member of American Women Artists, a juried artist member of Cape Ann’s historic Rockport Art Association, and a member of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society and the American Impressionist Society.  You can learn more about Penny and her work on her website, pennybillings.com.
